I am a fully qualified Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapy practitioner and also an adult nurse, with a BSc (Hons) degree.

During my spare time, I enjoy walking Riley (our gregarious, friendly and loving black labrador), reading, anything associated with wildlife and the countryside.  I thoroughly enjoy foraging and making all sorts of concoctions with our finds (This year it’s been immune system boosting elixir).

I must also admit to being a closet tree hugger and my guilty pleasure is dancing to disco music, which never ceases to make me happy.

Our brains are naturally hard-wired to be frightened of new things and some people may be anxious about the unknown.  The term “trance” may be off-putting for some and conjure up depictions of old films, where actors are at the behest of a villain, somehow against their will. Nothing could be further from the truth! In reality, it’s a deeply natural, relaxed state that we dip in and out of throughout our waking hours e.g. when driving from A to B and you cannot recall the journey, or similarly, we may daydream when we’re watching television etc. By accessing the subconscious, we are able to tap into an extremely powerful conduit for making positive, lasting change. Despite being deeply relaxing, this is not a passive process – we have to work together as a team in order to help you focus on and achieve your goals.  However, I cannot imagine that there is any other type of holistic therapy, which is sublimely relaxing and which affords such personal therapeutic results.

    I went along to my first session with absolutely no expectations. I was asked how l felt about myself and what l could do to improve the way that l felt. For me, there were two areas of my life that l have wanted to change for many years. I have made numerous attempts, all of which have been difficult and have failed.

    The first was wanting to cut down on the “end of the day” glasses of wine. Previous attempts left me with cravings and managing 2 weeks abstinence at best. I even tried only drinking at weekends, again abject failure. Although the topic was only mentioned once at my initial session, l found, after a couple of sessions, that l just didn’t want any wine, that was over 2 months ago and all l have had since is the odd glass of cider at a the weekend. No cravings, no tetchiness, no feeling deprived.

    The second thing l wanted to do was to improve my health and manage my weight by doing Intermittent Fasting. I wanted to fast for 16 hours a day and eat during an 8 hour window between 12 and 8pm. I failed miserably at this too. Spending all morning thinking about food, feeling miserable and giving in by 10 am. After three sessions, l found that one morning l didn’t fancy breakfast. I now do intermittent fasting every day sometimes up to 20 hours. I sleep well, feel great and have lost both weight and inches. I can’t thank Jen enough for the incredible difference she has enabled me to make to my life. All done in a stress free, relaxed and safe environment. I recommend these sessions to anyone who needs to overcome that self destructive voice, that stops you from achieving your goals. Absolutely brilliant.


    Absolutely amazing!

    My 11 year old daughter has been having sessions with Jenni to help her relax as she’s had a hard time starting senior school and after her first session she slept through the night for the first time ever!

    Instead of waking up having anxiety attacks she’s now waking up looking forward to many aspects of her day. She’s become far more positive and confident and even managing to reach out and try to make some friends.

    What can I say? I first visited Jenni slightly sceptical but open minded. I though was not sure realistically what could be done for me, as I’m a very lucky individual not to have any addictions or similar!

    Well I’m now a total advocate for the benefits of hypnotherapy. I have always been a procrastinator, leaving things to the last minute and being distinctly unorganised in most aspects of my life except for where I need to be when I end up ultra organised! Things have changed significantly since meeting Jenni. I am far more organised in all aspects of my life both work and at home, and in turn procrastinating less and less. My husband is the most impressed I believe as whereas I used to be terrible with housework I am now actively cleaning and tidying without prompting. I still think he believes I am ill….. ha!
